Big News!!! If you haven't already heard Santa Barbara Wellness for Life is Moving! The additional great news is that our new clinic will have an elevator and that it is right next door to where we currently are.
Literally the building just south of us on State St., frequently referred to the building that Chuck's Steak House is in. We will be at 3888 State St., suite 203.
There is plenty of parking in that back of that building and the entrance is straight up the only stairwell on the left hand side of the building.
A Lifetime of Wellness, what a concept! Amazingly the key to accomplishing this is relatively simple. Our wellness, or lack thereof, is primarily the byproduct of our lifestyle and habits. The more healthy habits we have and the fewer unhealthy habits we have, the healthier we are. Overall, we want to replace our unhealthy habits with healthy habits. Over time, this is like consistently adding to our bank account and watching the return on our investment grow steadily. Believe me, there is no better investment than investing in your health.
In my last newsletter we covered Step One, your most important step, which is deciding that your health and wellness are top priorities, and that you are ready to take action. If you have not reflected recently on how important your health is and how it can be even better than it currently is, please stop reading now, grab a pen and some paper and write down how you would love to feel and/or any health goals you wish to achieve. It is critical to know how healthy you want to be. Either email that to me or bring it in to your next appointment.
The good news is that you have already accomplished Step #2: Finding the Health Practitioner for You! However, please read on to better understand its importance.
Finding a licensed healthcare practitioner whose main focus is supporting you in creating a lifetime of health and wellness is often the most challenging of the "7 Steps." The problem is that most doctors just want to help you manage your symptoms by prescribing you one or more drugs to reduce them, or if things are particularly bad, they might recommend surgery. Of course both of these avenues are appropriate at times, but they fail to get at the root cause of the problem. In many, many cases, major--or even minor--changes in lifestyle will make a more dramatic and permanent change in health without many of the risks that drugs and surgery pose. Unfortunately, there is only a very small percentage of health practitioners who focus patients on the keys to creating health: diet, exercise, nutrition, stress management, and daily habits that promote continually improving health.
We all want to find someone who will help us with our health challenges and symptoms, someone who also will take the time to listen, get to know us, and understand how our conditions affect the quality of our lives.
My main focus is effectively supporting both you and your loved ones in creating a lifetime of health and wellness.

After the holiday season, this is a great way to get a jump start on returning to a much healthier you. This program is primarily for patients who have been on a nutritional and/or weight loss program with me in the past. This Infection Season, both locally and nationally, has been one of the worst we have seen in years. Additionally, there have been certain infections that if not attacked right away can become very stubborn.
It is of utmost importance to have the foundational immune products on hand. Then follow the steps below:
1. Start right away taking Immune Balancing Complex at 3/3/3 with meals and either Quantum Colostrum or IgG 2000 at 2/2/2 with meals.
2. Call the clinic. Let them know you have an infection, when it started, and what your primary symptoms are. My staff will check with me ASAP, and based on your symptom profile I will have them get back to you with any product additions or suggestions. In some cases I will suggest you get in ASAP for an appointment so I can test which product combination is likely to work best.
3. If you get a sinus infection, please call for an appointment ASAP, as these are the most challenging of the infections and often require some special protocol changes.
4. Whichever protocol works best for you, stay on it for at least a week past your last day of symptoms. Patients who stop their protocol too soon can have their infection resurface, and it is usually more challenging the second time around.

Important Note: If you feel your immune system is not as strong as you would like it to be, please call for an appointment ASAP. During your appointment I can specifically assess what you can do to strengthen your immune system, thereby increasing your resistance to the bugs that are coming our way. We have some new products that are great for this situation.
