Fall surely is upon us, which means fabulous weather, UCSB Men's Soccer and my annual Santa Barbara Century is soon to come. Unfortunately, Fall also means the beginning of Cold and Flu season, so please be sure to read my article below about doing your best to minimize your risk of getting sick.
Laurie and I will be making a Fall getaway to one of our favorite places for relaxing, which is Indian Springs in Calistoga.
This means I will be out of the office from Thursday, Oct. 10 - Monday Oct. 14. I will work some extra hours on Tues. morning Oct. 8th before we leave, and I will be in the office all day Tues. Oct. 15th. Please be sure to plan your appointments accordingly.
Of course Dr. Mark will be there to serve your healthcare needs while I am gone.
The Cold and Flu Season began slowing ramping up the past 2 weeks. Please read on, and as usual, the most important thing is to be prepared.
Last year many of my patients were prepared to jump into action at the first sign of an infection, and for those who did they usually stopped it in it's tracks! With more and more patients well trained, we had one of our easiest Cold and Flu Season's that I can remember. The key to this kind of success is to Be Prepared! That means having the products from Dr. Dale's Immune Protocols on hand to start taking at the first sign of an infection. This is the most important step you can take to minimize the chances of any infection really setting you back.
Last year our greatest challenges were some nasty sinus infections. Due to this situation, I researched and have tried multiple products to help us in this area. For those of you who are prone to sinus infections, we have a new nasal spray that is working very well for patients with acute and chronic sinus infections. How to use this spray is covered in my Refrigerator page, which is linked below.
Here is my Immune Protocol Refrigerator Page so it is easier to know what to do right away. Please be sure to open the attachment, print it out and place it on your refrigerator.
Important Note: if you feel your immune system is not as strong as you would like it to be, please call for an appointment ASAP. During your appointment I can specifically assess what you can do to strengthen your immune system, therefore increasing your resistance to the bugs that are coming our way. We have some new products that are great for this situation.
To support you in being well-prepared for the cold and flu season, I have the following special discounts: Receive a 10% discount on Large Im-Encap or Immune Balancing Complex plus a Q. Colostrum or IgG 2000. Family Pack: Buy two of either of the above packages and get an additional 5% off. The above Specials are effective until Oct. 31st! If you want to try our new ASC Nasal spray, we will extend the savings to that as well. If you want to do the Infection Prevention Program listed on the Refrigerator Page, buying one or more of each, you will receive 10% off of that also.

If we take Sir Churchill's quote to heart regarding the infection season that is all around us, we can see it as opportunity to actually improve our health, by doing those things that increase our resistance. That is one of the main factors that determines why one person who was at the same class, or party as another gets sick, and the other person doesn't.
If you have questions as to how you can increase your resistance, either send me an email or ask me next time you are in for an appointment.
